Prof Kilian Walsh.
Professor Walsh works as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in University Hospital Galway in Ireland. His specialist interest’s are in Reconstructive Urology and Surgery for Kidney Cancer. He is currently a council member for the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
He graduated from University College Dublin and undertook basic surgical training in the Dublin Hospital Rotation then moved to the UK to pursue Higher Surgical Training in Urology working as a specialist registrar in the London Deanery. He completed a Masters Thesis on Prostate Cancer Diagnostics at UCL. Following completion of the FRCS Urol Intercollegiate board exam, he undertook a Clinical fellowship in Urological Reconstructiion, Female and Neuro-Urology at University of California Davis in Northern California.
He returned to London and was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon to Kings College Hospital London for 5 years. He then moved back to Ireland in 2007 to University Hospital Galway. He has been an FRCS Urol Examiner for 10 years as well as representing the RCSI at the Intercollegiate Board. He has been European Board of Urology Representative for the ISU and RCSI Representative for the British Association of Urological Surgeons.
He is married with 2 children and in his spare time enjoys following horse racing and playing Golf.
