Mr Kevin O’Connor

Consultant Urologist at Cork University Hospital (CUH) since 2017. Graduated in medicine from University College Dublin (UCD) 2000. Awarded a Masters of Surgery (MCh), 2007 through the Conway Institute, UCD after undertaking laboratory based research in prostate cancer. Higher specialist urological training carried out in Ireland. Subspecialty training in Australia, clinical fellowship training in laparoscopy and robotic surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, 2012. Appointed Consultant Urologist at the Western General Hospital (WGH), Edinburgh in 2013 specialising in prostate and kidney cancer, before taking up post in Ireland in 2017. Current NCCP lead for prostate cancer at the CUH.
